Dr Amit Mistry

Dental Surgeon
MSc Dental Implantology at the University of Salford
GDC 79207

I became involved in implant dentistry at undergraduate level initially and have trained in implants since 2002. In addition, I trained in oral maxillofacial surgery as the 2nd on call senior surgeon including implant surgery in severe resorption cases, trauma reconstructions,

cancer reconstructive cases, cleft lip and palate cases and hypodontia cases using iliac crest grafts to regenerate bone volume.

For the past 12 years I have been a full-time dental implantologist with my main focus being on surgery and using digital guidance to reduce complications.

My implant areas of expertise are:

  • Full mouth rehabilitation

  • Immediate implant placement and restoration

  •  Complexed grafting

  • Digital planning/guided surgery to reduce risk and complications.

I place approximately 600-700 implants per year, my experience being with the following implant systems: Nobel, Straumann, Southern, Osstem, Megagen, Neodent and Astra.

Furthermore, I perform/undertake routinely many implant-related bone reconstructive grafting cases such as block grafts and sinus lifts in addition to the implant surgeries that I perform.
