Who we are at Love Teeth Dental Practice

The dental team and all about us

Welcome to Love-Teeth

My name is Ilana Pine and I’m the Principal Dentist at Love-Teeth dental practice in Prestwich, Manchester. I have been a dentist for over 18 years and previously worked in a number of different dental practices across Manchester before setting up on my own.

My aim as a dental practioner has always been to provide extremely personalised and transparent service in a very friendly, relaxed manner.

Our Principles

Our team are committed to providing quality, affordable dental care.

We are family dentists who care, are patient focused with appointment times which can fit around busy schedules, and who go the extra mile. In line with Love-Teeth’s ethos to offer high quality care, our friendly approachable receptionist will help make your visit calm and relaxed, explaining any queries you may have before you are taken through to the treatment rooms. Our treatment rooms have been fully equipped with the latest dental technology and even entertainment systems in order for patients to watch television or films via internet streaming sites. The reception area includes charge points for phones, and tea and coffee for patients while they wait.

In keeping with the family friendly feel, Ilana`s father, Dr Leo Klein is an associate of the practice and has vast experience in restorative dentistry having had practices in London, Israel, Germany and in City Centre Manchester.

Dr Ilana Pine

I qualified from the University of Manchester in 1998. I completed my vocational training in 1999 during which time I took on some large restorative cases.

I enjoy all aspects of dentistry. I love the variety and enjoy working with people.

In 2012 I completed my MFDS exams at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. I am currently working on my masters in dental Implantology and have already achieved diploma level.

I have a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry, especially the Align, Bleach and Bond model of creating beautiful smiles with little to no damage to natural tooth tissue, otherwise known as minimally invasive dentistry.

I place great emphasis on making my patients feel at ease in the dental chair both with my gentle approach and with the in-chair entertainment system. Many previously nervous patients have been transformed at Love Teeth.

I offer cosmetic options to all treatments and can help you improve your smile both functionally and aesthetically.

I look forward to welcoming new and existing patients into my purpose built, state-of-the-art new premises in Prestwich.

See you there!

Dr Katerina Kamperi

I qualified in Athens in 2013, and since then I have been working both in general dentistry and in hospitals in the Maxillofacial Specialty.

I am currently also working as a Speciality Doctor in Oral Surgery in st Helen’s Hospital and I am on my third year of Dental Implantology MSc.

What I enjoy most about my job is the personal relationships I get to form with my patients. And what is mostly rewarding is seeing the change we make in their lives.

I am lucky to be surrounded by a great team who thinks alike and makes this a great place to work.

Dr Leo Klein

I qualified from the University of Manchester in 1970. Since then I have worked in general practice, always pushing myself to learn something new and develop my skills, working in Germany for years where I learned some amazing dentistry not generally done in the UK. My area of expertise is restorative dentistry. This is building up the teeth and replacing missing teeth, as well as cosmetic dentistry. I use a variety of options from dentures, to implants with many other options in between, as well as full mouth reconstruction.
In 2012 I completed a diploma in implant dentistry.

I am delighted to work with my daughter Ilana who has worked hard to create a wonderful environment in which to work, with all the equipment essential to proper treatment planning including state-of-the-art panoramic X-rays.

I look forward to treating long-standing patients at Love-Teeth as well as welcoming new patients and challenges!

Dr Tasja Villegas

I graduated with a Master of Dental Sciences in 2006 from University of Copenhagen, Denmark. I worked for many years in Denmark in a community dental service where I gained a lot of experience in Paediatric Dentistry and in treating patients in conscious sedation. After moving to the UK in 2017 I have worked in a number of both NHS and private practices in the Greater Manchester area. In Love Teeth I mainly see children and young and older patients with dental anxiety for treatments in inhalation sedation (happy air). I aim to help all my patients through their dental treatment in the easiest way possible and make the visit a pleasant experience.

Kathryn Mayo

I qualified from Leeds dental institute in 1993. Since then I have worked in NHS, private and specialist practices and also in hospital. Five years after qualifying I gained a teacher certificate and worked as tutor hygienist at Leeds dental hospital two days a week combined with working in practice. I have worked with Dr Leo Klein and Dr Ilana Pine for more than fifteen years, now splitting my working week between ‘Love teeth’, another private practice and a specialist private hospital where I treat patients along with a role tutoring Hygiene /Therapy students in dental implant care. I have been married for 15 years and have two step children and two girls aged 12 and 7. In my spare time I teach gymnastics to girls aged 9-14 years.

Working with patients with implants more closely has lead to the opportunity to be involved in developing  an implant maintenance course design for  hygienist and therapists.  Together with a colleague I lecture around the country,  to the whole dental team on Implant Care.

I have been a dental nurse since 2002 of which since 2004 has been working with our very own Ilana Pine.

When Ilana mentioned opening her own practice it was without a doubt I was going to help and support her all the way through and here we are today with the well-run love-teeth dental practice with many many happy fantastic patients and most on 1st name basis. We as a practice entered the private dentistry awards 2017 of which I went on to win the best employee. Wow how overwhelming it was. I have now completed the NEBDN implant nurse course and gained a further qualification as an implant nurse.

Our patients love the great atmosphere of the practice and I believe I’m good at making people feel at ease.

Nervous patients love holding my hand!

Suzanne Walton

I first trained as a dental nurse 34 years ago, and as such I have a great insight to the surgical side of the practice which helps me in my duties as receptionist at Love-Teeth.

I began working at the practice in February 2017 and have built some wonderful relationships with not just my colleagues but with patients also. I love the friendly atmosphere we have which I think definitely helps to keep patients calm.

Daniela Pundick

I started working at LT July 2018. Coming from 21 years as a solicitors receptionist this was a new and exciting position for me. I really enjoy working at LT and have learnt a lot about dentistry. It’s a friendly and nice environment to work in, I enjoy dealing with our lovely patients on the front desk. My colleagues are all great and we all work great together as a team. We are like one big family!

In my spare time I enjoy eating out with family & friends, walking and going on nice holidays.

After 6 years of travelling around Canada, upon my return back to Manchester, I was ready for a change. Having spent all my working life in hospitality I thought it was time for a career change. When I was growing up my dad worked as a dental technician and then my older sister became a dental nurse, which prompted me to look into taking this career move. I haven’t looked back since. I started my career with Love Teeth in November of 2018 and all the girls and Ilana have helped me through my training and have been very encouraging. In my spare time I love spending it with my sisters and family. Xx

Zofia Gillespie

I have recently worked my way up to a qualified dental nurse at love teeth from starting in 2016 as an apprentice, my role at the practice involves meeting and greeting patients, reception duties, working chairside with the dentist, comforting patients and also keeping on top of decontamination.
